Evidence-based Strategies to Successfully Implement the NEW Math Standards of Learning
Last year, Dr. Mulligan presented a series of regional workshops to enhance teacher and administrator awareness of the changes to the essential knowledge, essential skills, essential vocabulary, and essential processes presented in the revised math SOL.
This year’s regional workshops will focus on now that we know what students need to understand and be able to do, what are evidence-based structures teachers can use to validly assess and authentically teach to facilitate student ownership and understanding of the non-negotiable concepts.
Resources that facilitate a powerful use of a vertical articulation of math standards to identify a zone of proximinal development for each student to provide a laser-like focus to intervention.
Participants will be provided with both a hard copy and electronic toolkit of resources to implement in the classroom the day after the workshop. Come and enjoy a valuable day that will benefit your students, parents, teachers and administrators for the next seven years!
