Rashard J. Wright, Associate Consultant
With just seven years in public education, Rashard J. Wright, M.T., Ed.S, has provided empowering educational leadership skills in an array of educational environments. Proven and recognized for building successful academic settings quickly and efficiently, Rashard’s name is acknowledged throughout the state of Virginia and beyond as an accomplished academic, public speaker, teacher leader, and mentor for principals and assistant principals.
He is currently the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction with Middlesex County Public Schools in Saluda, VA. He approaches his presentations and workshops with the same intelligence, down to earth knowledge, and humor that have made him such an influential and successful instructional decision maker and school reformer.
Rashard made an immediate difference during his principalship of C. Vernon Spratley Middle School in Hampton, Virginia. His vision, assertiveness, and leadership was integral to creating a successful urban middle school that closed the achievement gap in all content areas and subgroups; a struggling school formerly considered a failing school program. Over a two year period, the school’s state standardized test scores illustrated a significant increase and they achieved accreditation for the first time. His personal experience with transforming troubled school programs and entities translates into galvanizing, practical, and strategy-based presentations that equate to immediate results for educators, schools, and the youth they serve.
Rashard earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Masters of Teaching in English Education from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, and an Administration and Supervision Educational Specialist certification from The George Washington University.
